hi, my primary domain is areagamer.co.cc. But i´ve recently created a new blog, which i imported from blogger (is named guiadeti.co.cc/blog). The problem is that as i already have a wordpress blog installed on the public_html, i just could create the second blog with a subdirectory /blog.
And blogger doesn´t redirect for subdirectories, neither the best wordpress plugins. There´s anyway i can have the two blogs without /blog or, at least, solve the redirections problem, cause i´m getting error in some posts? Thank´s.

You can add new website as Add-On Domain Instead of Parked Domain.

You can view the tutorial on http://www.cpanel.ne...rials/addon.htm :)

okay, i removed my /blog installation and the parked domain. Instead, i did put my domain as an add on, but when i access my domain apears to me a page with the cgi-bin arquive, on the archive manager. What do i have to do now? i saw some instruction on google, but get a little confuse   . Thank´s again.

Now put all the contents that were in public_html/blog to public_html/guiadeti.co.cc .

thank´s, it worked "half the way". Turns out that, as i´ve said, i already cancelled the /blog install, so i had noting to pass to public_html/guiadeti.co.cc.

To resolve this i created another install just like that and copied the content to the mencioned directory.

When i go to guiadeti.co.cc apears to me the wordpress twentyeleven theme (which indicates it´s running normal), but when i type guiadeti.co.cc/wp-admin, on the login page anything happens: my password disappear just after i type it, and i can´t access the dashboard.

Plus, on the same login page i noted that the /blog subdirectory comes back, which is the hole subject i want to change. ;)
I imagine if it´s some wordpress temporary error or something i did wrong. :(

I am not understanding the problem. I typed some username and password, it didn't disappear or anything like that.

i´m sorry if i was not clear enough. Let me explain it better:

      Quote

when i type guiadeti.co.cc/wp-admin, on the login page anything happens: my password disappear just after i type it, and i can´t access the dashboard.

strangely, this disappearing problem was resolved simply by changing from /wp-admin to /wp-login.php

Plus, on the same login page i noted that the /blog subdirectory comes back, which is the hole subject i want to change.

This is the main problem, so you can remember, see the first post:

i have 2 blogs, one with /blog subdirectory. you said i could have the 2 blogs without /blog by adding the new one as an add on domain. I did it and nothing changed.
The blogger migration subject can be fixed, once that i get to have the 2 blogs without /blog.  :)

Ya, Looks like you have imported.

      • Goto Dashboard->Settings->General Settings
      • Set Wordpress Address(URL) as guiadeti.co.cc
      • Set Site Address(URL) as guiadeti.co.cc
      • Then check the Blog

If that doesn't help, try https://codex.wordpr...ng_The_Site_URL

EDIT: Make sure you backup all your files and database before you do anything!

thank´s, it worked. Unfortunately, didn´t serve to what i wanted. ;) Some posts with the tag read more doesn´t redirect to the rest of the post on my wordpress page, instead, they go to blogger, and when i try to change it, 404 happens.
I wrote this not to justify, but to informe others who have the same doubt in the future. Looks like the only way is to configure .htaccess to resolve this.
Anyway, again, the support was great! :D

Problem: Hi, i´m having trouble to import blogger posts to wordpress, and searching saw that this may happen because of the size of the archives. I have just 32 posts, and was told to create a php.ini file so my posts can be transfered. I´m not sure this IS the real problem, but there´s a large chance. So, can i create this file or it´s prohibited?

      Hello writer,

You don't really need to create a php.ini file to import your posts into Wordpress. Try reading this. http://codex.wordpre...porting_Content

Also, I can help you break the import file to smaller pieces if you don't have access to your blogger anymore.

Thanks and let me know how it goes.

Edit: Or try converting through here: http://blogger2wordpress.appspot.com/

Hey, i´m having a problem with my posts imported from blogger. The page appear as "page not found" where should be the title, and the content area is kept empty.

I searched various similar cases os wordpress.org forum, but none of them is exactly like mine. as i use a custom permalink structure (to be like blogger and have no error on the redirection) i made some corrections on the .htaccess file, but discovered that my mod_rewrite has to be activated on apache (which i don´t know if is) so the instructions can work.

I would very appreciated if you tell me where i go to get into apache and see it, since i didn´t find it on my cpanel. Thank´s. ;)

Thank´s a lot Sharad D. Despite of none of the links really help me, i figured out the problem :) When i imported my blogger posts they came without any tags (tags usually come to wordpress from blogger as categories).

I just added some categories and tags to each post and everything looks fine now.

      Thank´s again. ^_^
