Hi. I am using PHPMailer to generate nice HTML emails.

However, Sendmail is not working here. I get the error: Could not execute: /usr/sbin/sendmail when I try to use Sendmail here. The old faithful php mail() option does work, however, I would prefer to use Sendmail.

Nature Of Problem: Sendmail binary not executing

Error you are Getting [If applicable]: Could not execute: /usr/sbin/sendmail

Problem: I am using PHPMailer to handle the generation of HTML emails that may occasionally be sent by my site. PHPMailer can use Sendmail, and it is correctly configured to point to the path /usr/sbin/sendmail. However, when I test it, I get the error noted above from PHPMailer. If I tell PHPMailer to use PHP's basic mail() function instead of the Sendmail binary, then everything works. However, I would prefer to use Sendmail, if it would work. Also, I am using this exact same version of PHPMailer and the exact same e-mail creation script at another website/server and their Sendmail is working (I only mention that to illustrate that I know my PHP scripts are working elsewhere).

I'm not sure why this script cant use the sendmail binary. The binary works as I just tested it using a simple perl script. It might be security methods i have in place or maybe not.. I'd stick with phps mail function.
