GMX.DE was the original site but now gms has released its .com version too.
They are offering free you@gmx.com email , with free 5 Gb Space and the ability to store your files as well .
GMX is considered to be among the TOP 10 best Free email services.

I just got mine.. You need to go to www.gmx.com to register.

Heh, I'll still just use gmail for my 5.8GB of storage.

I got mine with GMX. Its interface is awesome O.o

However, many times I would prefer quicker loading times of the interface like gmail, even when I don't really like gmail interface too much

I think Gmail is awesome, especially the nice loading interface and especially that AJAX feature of theres, I absolutely love it, though sometimes when it is late, they could have a DARKER skin, the white hurts my eyes.

well, definately there seems to be no alternative to Gmail.
