As you currently know we are displaying Google AdSense ads on the forum page(s). Thus meaning we will be making a switch very soon to Google AdSense! Those who are on the Titanium packages and associated packages will have to make this change. - We will send out an email to those who are on the titanium package when the time is right and when we think switching to Google AdSense is the right choice for us. For now those who are on that particular package will display Bidvertiser ads for now, however this announcement is to let you know we will be switching to another ad company very soon.

Google AdSense offers a lot, as you can customise the ads to fit the design of your website; plus with the better click through rates compared to Bidvertiser we should be able to get enough money from AdSense to purchase another dedicated server and so on. - From here we can then gain more and more users, thus meaning more people using our services increasing the factor of visitors/members by a number of ten-fold of what we are already getting per day and per month. Bidvertiser will obviously be thrown out the window completely if we can achieve this and AdSense will become our main advertisement for users to put up onto their websites!

Other News

Running out of bandwidth? Don't like ads?
Then this news will surely end that problem! We will be introducing a system, where you post and you receive bandwidth for every 50 posts that you post on these forums. The amount of bandwidth per 50 posts has not been acknowledged however I think the idea is pretty good and I just thought of doing this and thought what a great idea for those who DO NOT want ads! :)

Once you get the 50 posts you get a certain amount of bandwidth for life and so on and your bandwidth can increase every time you get 50 posts! We will be making a special forum for this so people can request more bandwidth, thus adding a NO-LIMITATION bandwidth factor to Vlexo! The option of even being able to choose between bandwidth and webspace is also a great idea and if we incorperate all these features slowly by surely we should see an even more active community!

Thank you for reading,

-Jonathan J

Hey! Excellent idea about the bandwidth! Although I believe it might be better to start off with a smaller required amount of posts. Good job though =)

Yes, the old ads will go completely, you will be notified if and whenever you need to change the ads on your website!

      Thanks!

Didn't we already have AdSense before, and it got deleted because too many people clicked them?

For the bandwidth idea, I suggest 100 rather than 50 post increments, to avoid overloading the servers, considering posts really are not that hard to get.

What about posts prior to this announcement? Do they already count?

@ Jon, this is a little off-topic but i tohught i should point out that the vlx.cc domain is no longer available..

it seems to have expired/expiring. Some of the new account have subdomain.vlx.cc which may need changing to *.vlexo.net or *.flickcabin.com :)

Yeah. No one was using it, so I decided not to re-reg it.
