Hey Guys and Girls,

Well for no apparent reason Moniker.com has caught my eye.
i really like there domain prices, $6.28 - ?3-something in GBP.

I'm have so many domains with so many different registers, i just felt like trying something new :)

Though if all ends up well, I'll hopefully be moving my most important domain to Moniker.com (daveyonline.net) :D

But as i have never used this Domain Register before, i don't know of there reliability . . .

What do you think of Moniker.com? Any bad or good experiences?
Please, feel free to share :)

Opened a support ticket, they were very helpful & friendly.

They have security methods, my account was suspended due to not being assigned to a sales rep which seemed an appropriate action to take in this situation :)

Iv accepted the transfer.. Just need to wait 4/5 days for the transaction to complete.

Success, daveyonline.net is being moved over to Moniker.com.. it's cost roughly ?3.00 which isn't bad at all :D

me neither.. Until now.. But silly GoDaddy and their 60-Day no transfer opt-in rubish just denied me moving it to Moniker!! :(

I can transfer it on 02-07-08.. Which is 2nd July 2008... Makes me wish i used Moniker in the first place.. :'(

      Never use GoDaddy again..........

Moniker are quite a big registrar! They seem pretty good, I was also thinking of ordering a domain with them as they have a lot of domain extensions, which you can't purchase from places such as name/domainsite neither godaddy!

Netfirms? I went with [1and1.com]. They were great. I made the mistake of ordering a domain name late Friday so I didn't get it until Monday as they don't work over the weekends apparently.

Its 6.99$ a domain. There are no hidden fees or anything like that. And they offer free private registration which I consider a must.

      Take care.

eRott, I haven't heard to many good reviews about 1and1, though I've seen a lot of complaints, btw, what is their control panel like?

I've had no problems with them. There customer service rep. was extremely kind and there service seems to be no different from the likes of GoDaddy.

I chose them simply because they don't charge for private registration, they don't have hidden fees and they are cheaper then just about every other company. As for their control panel, I like it. Easy to use, easy to navigate.

      Take care.

Moniker.com / DomainSystems, Inc. / Oversee.net / SnapNames.com / Monte Cahn Internet Fraud / Domain Name Hijackers / Deceptive Trade Practices / Breach of Contract / Misrepresentation / Bad Faith Pompano Beach Florida

      The Original Ripoff Report Text:
Moniker.com. These people run Domain Name Auctions, but they are not to be trusted as they are deceptive, do not abide by their own Terms and Conditions as publicly displayed on their website, and will not honor their Exclusive Right To Sell Agreements, and are bad faith actors. Their Escrow and Auctioning licenses should be suspended, or revoked, for deceptive trade practices and breach of fiduciary responsibility. ICANN should also investigate their practices and, as result, suspend or revoke their Registrar status.

On May 23, 2008, through one of their auctions, representing themselves as the new owners of a domain they purchased from me for $16,500, $14,025 net to me, they had sixty (60) days to make payment and transfer the funds to me. Despite several Notices sent to them subsequent to the contract expiration, receipt which were acknowledged, to either extend in writing their Exclusive Right To Sell Agreement or make the required payment, as called for in the Agreement, they have refused to do so. They have hijacked my property!

I have identified another transferee for the domain, but I am being financially damaged by their refusal to release my domain from their Escrow Account. Monte Cahn actually made the outrageous claim that there is no time limit on their process, contrary to our written Agreement, and what anyone would view as a violation of Federal, State, and Local Business Law Statutes.

In good faith, as they had requested, I promptly transferred the domain to their Escrow Account, and they were supposed to also act in good faith and transfer the funds to my personal account. Although their website clearly states that the Seller is protected because they "guarantee" that the Buyer has the funds, this is a deliberate deceptive misrepresentation to lure Sellers into their scheme of hijacking domains, as what has happened to me.

Additionally, they do not act or communicate in good faith or in a timely manner. In my opinion, they are bullshitters, plain and simple, and are forcing me to seek legal recourse in order to have payment made to me for damages, plus fees and costs for recovery. Do Not Do Business with these companies.

Do Not Place Your Domain Names in their Auctions. You will be exposing yourself to unnecessary risks. They are not to be trusted, and, like me, you may very likely be RIPPED OFF!

Anti-Whoever you are, you seemed to have missed the subject.

This thread contains to relation to Monikers 'Domain Name Auctions'. It was simply implying that I was Transferring my Domain Name to them and Registering Domains with them. if you have problems with them, speak to their support team and quit being so arty-farty.

Get your head out of your arse for one second and read titles before you bash companies..
