Dedicated Server update
Since we moved away from our last provider, from which we were on Dual Xeon server(s) we moved onto a network, which we considered reliable, as I had been with this network for over 8 months. (Now I have...) So since that initial move, we moved everyone onto a big VPS which powers the magnet server and variable servers which is on it's own seperate VPS. However we have noticed that these VPS' aren't enough for what we and you want to power online, such as your websites and staffs. So we have gone ahead and ordered a Core2Quad to power your websites with WiredTree.com. (Who have literally give us 100% network uptime)
When will this move over take place?
The server at current is being built and will be finished by either tomorrow or Tuesday. Thus our estimate of a move over is sometime week for all those on both VPS' however we will assess when to move over when we actually get a hold of the server.
IP Changes
We will most likely be sticking with the same IP addresses, so you won't have to worry if you have custom/private nameservers. Though for convenience, please change all nameservers to the servers default nameservers. (Appreciated)
Why
Currently we are on the biggest packages that our provider offers in terms of VPS', and we are using up all the memory quite easily on the servers that we currently have. So the need to move over to a more powerful server is more of a necessity and need rather than an aesthetic procurement we can hang on our front page.
Downtime
I'm not saying there won't be downtime, however there maybe a little downtime, we will try and keep downtime to a minimum during this switch over. The move should go correctly and fast seeing as it's all on the same network.
New design
In about 2 months time, which is when it will October, we will be purchasing a custom design, designed by eRott, from which it will be my present to Vlexo.com seeing as in the same month; it will be my birthday! A lot more updates including new features to our website will be added as well as integration of our forum into the main website design and much more. We want to get this right, so future updates will only get better.
