Well Counter-Strike 1.5 - 1.6 I like it , I've played this two games for allmost 7 years but now I'm "retired" because on all servers steam & non-steam are full of cheaters(aim hack , wall hack) plus some of the admins are very impolite and they kick/ban gamers with no reason. So there is no reason for me to play this game unless someday I will create my own server so that I can play in peace with all my friends & others

Later edit : AA and yeah Counter-Strike its the number 1 online shooter game so yeah its kinda the best but only online , its like world of warcraf only that is an mmorpg , what I mean is that some games are addictev

Yup i think we should have our own server to play counter strike.

I wonder if vlexo would have it's own CS server in the future? hmm.....

Well I guess not , one of the reasons is that you need a very powerfull server and a strong/fast internet connection , because all users from here are from different countrys so you need a strong server or else all the users will have lag in the game and thats no fun at all

Lol yes we know COD is tops but lets not hijack this thread.. I'll open a COD thread in a minute!

Counterstrike is good for the simple fact of their bots. They actually play properly and are smart and you don't need to be online for a challenge.

I heard CS: Paintball is pretty fun. Wouldn't mind having a play! Now to go BUY CS!

I'm not a fan of FPS (First Person Shooter) games..

But here's my pick for the best online game.. (and yes offline game too, you can play with really strong AI's ! )

warcraft.. The only real threat to life as we know it. Helping single handedly destroy the world and civilisation as we know it... Not a fan at all! I say burn it.. Literally.. Get every copy, cover with petrol, light and stand back. (and nats i know you weren't talking wow but i still thought i'd bring up that point!

Anyway.. Back to counterstrike again lol.

I played CounterStrike too.. since the Half-Life version.. crowbars and alien guns..

It was a craze back then (the old Half-Life).. then CounterStrike followed.. I remembered De_Dust maps.. LOL.. i grow tired of it though. .. never played since.

I never understood why people play Counter-Strike 1.6. Why not just play Source? It's not like CS:S is resource intensive.

I guess it goes on user preference, but I wouldn't say it's the best game ever IMHO, I think that is stretching it. Even though it does have a huge player base and a support (Modding support) behind the game, unlike games apparently supported by EA; which by the way they fail at.

Though has anyone ever played Insurgency for half life? Now that is a game and so is Project Reality.

Or anyone played ArmA 2, Crysis? I guess those are my kind of games, with the high level of graphic detail and great gameplay.

I think its soley because it is so widely available as a cracked version.

However, if you try to access the server I provided above with a cracked version, sorry bud, its not going to happen.

The game only costs $9.99. I bought a steam account off a dude last night for $5.50AUD and it came with Cs1.6 and Condition Zero.

Also CS is also so great to play on LAN as it installs on virtually any computer that is fast enough for XP! +Plus the mods..

I myself used to play this on the original xBox with bots .. I'm now a massive COD fan and only got CS "Because I Can" and because it was cheap.

COD4 FTW I still say!

Please note.. I don't think CS is the best game in the world. Although, it is pretty darn good and fun to play!

Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, otherwise it would not have survived as long as it has, especially the cheapness to which you can buy the game now. But there ARE much better games, graphically and game play wise IMHO...

For sure. Thats what I was saying. I wouldn't put it past the fact that its probably the most "Loss of Profit" game made. Just because of the cracked downloaded versions! It's that hardcore that people even have "Cracked Non-Steam" gameservers :eek:
