Hey there,

Well, I have recently discovered that as a result of your choice to install suPHP the website I manage for my buddy has fallen victim to these 500 Internal Server Errors.

Unfortunately, I'm in a bit of a pickle. Currently the server's PHP value for the maximum upload file size allowed is 3M which is too low. So as a result I needed to up that value via a .htaccess file.

php_value upload_max_filesize

Needless to say, my use of php_value is causing the 500 Internal Server Errors. While I cannot pin point which values I have changed as it has been a while since I've developed it, I am fairly certain there are a couple more.

So my question is, is this a permanent solution as I feel installing suPHP takes away from the service and our abilities to develop websites with Vlexo. I understand the problem you are facing, however via the process of elimination you could probably narrow down a rather easy list of accounts that can be manually checked if necessary to locate the source of these emails.

Take care.

lol, its not effecting anyone's ability to develop websites. Read the 2nd post and you'll see it needs to be in a php.ini file.

To further answer your question, SuPHP is a permanent solution.

I read the second post. It brought me to a knowledge base which I didn't even bother to read all of. So I apologize. I wasn't aware suPHP only caused 500 Internal Server Errors when changing PHP values in a .htaccess file. What can I say, I read up until point number four in "PHP displays 500 Internal Server Error" and jumped to conclusions. Thanks for clarifying.

Take care.

The information in your htaccess file was causing your site not to work correctly and you also set some files to the wrong permission. It appears that you attempted to install Drupal, I suggest that you reinstall it as I notice that many of the files are missing. I save all the information that was in your .htaccess to .htaccess2.
