Hey everyone,

Just thought I'd pop a post up here to let you all know that Vlexo is not in fact "Closing", well 90% chance of NOT closing.

May I just please ask.. Take a backup but PLEASE DON'T LEAVE us. The backup is simply a precautionary method IN CASE things go wrong.

Vlexo now has a "Financeer" that if WT allow it, should be able to have the server paid in full on Friday. As I said above. This is only 90%, but if you love the service here at Vlexo then, well, you would stay to see what happens. If worse comes to worse, you have a Backup. If no worse happens, you still have everything online and running smoothly.

Please also note. This is NOT Jon paying for this but someone who wants to "Save" Vlexo as Vlexo has given them so much.

This however is only for ONE month that has been talked about, however I have been informed that if this Financeer can get something out of it or Jon hasn't returned yet, this person will be able to cover all of Vlexo's ongoing server costs.

Also note. Domains are out of the question as they are owned by Jon (otherwise Vlexo.com would still be ours!)

Me too !

Good thing Eli transferred my huge backup file to another server.. if I'd be the one downloading that, it would take me 4 hours because of my crappy internet connection..

I'm curious to how we can pay for the server in the future. Would we have to downgrade to like a dualcore or someting?

Can vlexo keep up, maintain and retain their services as advertised ?

And the answer is : Yes. I hope so.

Well, I hope that the fundamentals are strong enough for that.
Here i think , many users proposed and its a good thought that all of us could contribute and keep the server running.

But that wont happen , lets hope for the Best.

Mano simply means, there aren't many people like us around who WILL actually give money up for that sort of thing. You see many people on the net nowdays, and in real life, tend to just think... "me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me". It's quite sad actually.

I'm sad to hear this, I was just getting used to Vlexo.

I'm actually shocked that the admins here on the forum didn't actually send out a mass email/pm, as this would warrent a mass communication - which can be blocked by the User Control Panel options.
