Hi,
Eli as you probably know I am useless at Back-end sort of stuff but am quite capable of front-end designing including photoshop work, Dreamweaver etc. I can do some slight HTML but am not trained but any help with graphical things I am always ready.

By the way, in the Graphics section I uploaded an image of my in-progress homepage.

So any help with the Main website vlexofree.com
I could be of some help

Mom - "Of course you can" *Hands over Standard Supermarket meat pie*

Again...

Child - "Shall I eat it, Shall I eat it"
Mom - "No it's disgusting!" *Throws Standard Supermarket meat pie out of childs hand*

Are you any good with typography and colours to make the homepage look more attractive? I'm really kind of useless in the area right now as im not a designer. What would really be best is if you/people would give suggestion/examples on what should be changed with the website using your/their designing tallent to know what would look the most attracting.

So I guess if you're more looking for orders on things you should design then that probably wont work as I have no idea what should be done!

Okay, so what would you do to the site to make it look more attractive?

      Hi,
I would probably alter the main homepage, I think that the Logo is a little too big so i would make that smaller.
I also think that a dynamic quote would be good with may be a library of 20 or more quotes that you like.

      That's the header.

The Getting started page could do with some more alterations.

The sizing and formatting are the main points. In my opinion the smiley shouldn't really be there.

The instructions should begin more professionally. I would think to add maybe a sort of page or a layer to the site where a person must read and agree to the TOS before continuing. Then maybe the page should include a the domain instructions but with alterations to the formatting styles. How about a structured table (with no borders giving the possibilities of free domains. Then the name servers.

The link saying "the path to freedom" needs to be easier to recognise as a link

      Then finally the Interview.

There should be a form to fill in that automatically get's sent to you or elsewhere so you can then easily manage them. You can add strict rules to the form then to ensure the requirements are met before completing.

The server and security page could do a little touching up

      The FAQ page needs reformatting

By the way when i say reformatting i mean theings like size, Bold, Italics etc.

Can anyone make a script that uses cpanel's API to get the list of accounts then seperate the accounts by their package then use programming witchcraft to check the main page of each account's domain for a linkback and ad then output the accounts that fail??

      Hi Eli,
I've written a temporary script that'll check if <!--VlexoFree_LinkBack--> was used. It does not check if it is within comments. I'll try to add it in future.. You can check it at http://sharu.vlexofr.../checklink.php. I've attached the source file...

      Its a start. :D

Can you get it to check that there is just at least "VlexoFree" hyperlinked to http://vlexofree.com(/) or http://www.vlexofree.com(/)?

I modified it... It can check the links stated above using javascript...
You can verify it at http://sharu.vlexofr.../checklink3.php

      Method is bit crude.

You're awesome. But unfortunately that method is not going to be practical.

Thats the very basic idea is when the cpanel api is called its going to output a list of domain name (along with usernames and account packages which will be used for sorting). The script should then check the domains for the linkback.

Getting something thats able to do that would be very good .

Hey Eli... I have never used cpanel api before so I don't know how to go about it... But if someone can get the list of domains, I'll check the link. I'll try modify it into a php-function so that it can be used even with php-cli...

I really appreciate your work System Sneaker but I see some difficulties especially as older sites usually do not use their vlexo domain (or simply place a place holder there).

I'm new to vlexo and hence do not know the problem with older sites... I tried to do everything as php and xml parser but most sites do not stick to standards. SO used javascript in between.. I'll try to find other possible ways...

The domain name isn't a problem. It can get front page from any site. I tried even fetching google.com and it send link back not found...

The reason you cant use JS is that it makes the browser do the work. this task of fetching all these pages and etc would be a lot better if you let the server take care of it.

I'm trying to implement it using only php. But for parsing html tags, I must use xml functions. I've got a bit tight schedule at present. I'll try to do it asap. I'll try if something can be done using shell scripts... I thought of using autoit as its very easy but its only windows based...

You can use php, python, shell, etc.. whatever the server supports.

I think this will do for VlexoFree linkback... I am using a library under MIT License. you can check the demo at

      http://sharu.vlexofree.com/linkback/

Am planning to make it recursive... Some more time is needed for that...

      Thats looking pretty good!

You think you can make it check all account under a reseller if I give you access to a reseller account that you can use to play with the cpanel api?

Someone made a cpanel xml-api php class at http://forums.cpanel...0-a-136449.html which might make it easy.

I tired to use the php class to output the number of accounts we have on the server for the homepage but i guess i dont know php enough to figure it out and get the stuff out the of the arrays and etc.. So I just used curl to get the "https://127.0.0.1:2087/xml-api/acctcounts" and used getElementsByTagName to get the number I wanted.
