It might be, try disabling it and see if it works. Also on a further note, I have mod_deflate installed and have it set to compress most/all web pages. So having a setting for it doesn't do much good :P . So in a way im forcing the compression of everyone's webpages, this saves you, and us bandwidth and it lets other people download pages on our server faster. I did it mostly for the faster downloads. You can thank me later :P

Works after disabling it! Thanks :) I guess we're ready to be switched onto vlexofree.

I had the smallest plan... Do i need to chose between the new ones, or do i have to do the ads and the linkback?

      Edit:
I will put the linkback there already, because it is required anyways.
Secondly, I have 4 subdomains which would require me to pick the larger account, or is that unnecessary?
And last, most of those subdomains are located in a directory htdocs, wich i created asside the standard one, so people could not view the includes I have for some of those, and they cannot see the subdomains as a subdir.

Thank you for the hosting untill now, it has been a great 1(And a half?) years.
      Good luck ;)
      Thank you for listening,

      1. All you need is the linkback
2.The subdomains are fine. You can do the smallest plan.
3.If the subdomains are other websites then they cannot be hidden. In other words, If I go to your subdomain I need to be able to see some kind of webpage unless your using it for something else other then a website.

      :)

I've added a list of accounts that have been moved over on the first post. So far no one has been moved over......

Is it necessary that we move over? To be honest, I liked the old plans better.

Could you consider a paid plan, which is basically just the expert plan minus the ads? Other hosting sites run from 4-30$ USD for shared hosting with comparable features, so a plan maybe $5 a month definitely wouldn't hurt.

EDIT: Sorry, just realized this was a double post.

Ok, I will be upgrading next month (so long as I don't fall into the spell of hawkhost-unbeatable prices with great futures, and very encouraging user reviews). Will put those ads up in a couple days for now.

I've put the new linkback on my main site and the new ad too...you can check it out and move my account over if everything's fine...and i choose Expert 2000 for my new plan... :)

sorry, if i took time putting them there....i'm still a little busy...

but do we have to put the linkback and ads on all of our site hosted here at vlexo or just the main site? i don't really have any problem with those but i may want to have a site with no ads or anything...

      also, can i have a .vlexo.net subdomain? :)

      thanks...

Eli, I believe my air site is ready for moving over. with alpha plan - I modified link back on pages.

Also, Ellie's Inked Corpses forum is also ready to move, with alpha plan
      and link back on pages.

If anything else needs to be done, if I missed something, let me know and I'll fix it.

BTW. You say everyone need to move. That is very confusing Eli L. - how do people know they need to fix something if you don't inform them. It would be smart thing to do to send mass e-mail to all of those Vlexo hosters who have free accounts
here so they know what needs to be done. So there won't be unkind surprises. BTW what's end date of moving - end of the year maybe?

      If so, yes.

Both account moved over. And I dont know how or if i even can mass mail all accounts under one reseller. So the only way i could mass mail would be the entire server and last time that caused more harm then good as the other people not connected to vlexo hosted on the server were like "WTF". Then again after the mass mail the traffic/hits coming to vlexo skyrocketed :P

BTW, you have 2 vlexo link backs on your footer and you could get rid of the other one if you wanted too. Or maybe you left it on for a reason or just didnt care. Either way it was just something i noticed :P

You could do a mass pm to all accounts on the forums (because that should be everyone), but it wouldn't be much effective unless it sends an email notification (which if I remember correctly, it does).

Well, I guess I'm cheap and am ok with the ads, found a spot for them  Still will donate some money when my birthday comes next month (don't expect ad-free).

One problem: I added the ad code, but it doesn't seem to show up.

Also, the large square ad code doesn't seem to still be on the help page, even though it still says you can pick it (not that I am planning to use that one, just saying).

The large rectangle one was never going to be able to get enough hits to become useful. So I removed it. Just fixed the page too.

For your ad code, I think the "x" in the comment is a symbol. Try deleting the "x", type it again, then check it.
