You heard right! Our old server (named "quad") couldn't handle the load of all our accounts on it so VlexoFree has moved to a new dedicated server (named "deuce").

Our new server is a quad core Q9550 running at 2.83GHz with 4GB of memory and CentOS 5.4. Compare that to quad which was a quad core Q6600 running at 2.40GHz with 2GB of memory and CentOS 4.8.

The one caveat about our new server is that it doesn't have fantastico. Sorry for the people who relied on it heavily.

Important: Only the members who are new and the members who have shown they comply with the new VlexoFree at this post have been moved over the our new server. The rest of the members are still on the old server. If you want to be on the new server you have to post on that thread (and change your nameservers to the new vlexofree.com ones).  And as always; if your site has any issues after being moved please let us know. I'll be happy to try to fix the problems.

Edit: I have also disabled new registrations of *.vlexo.net subdomains. I do not own that domain and I do not want people to be affected if the owner neglects to renew it.

Thanks everyone. there was an issue with the www cname on there and after I fixed it it just needed to propagate. All good now.

Another thing. I'm done with vlexo for the day. I have to study for my final tomorrow. You guys are on your own!

PS: New server's cpanel is giving out errors, dont report it. I got official cPanel support working on this issue.
      Fixed.

Nice one Eli with the new server. Things are starting to get on the up-style here. We hope to have the servers upgraded soon. More ram, more space and more bandwidth. Only the best for Vlexo Free members.

      Thank you Kindly,

      Hi Eli,

I have been out of the loop for a while as I have not had an internet connection. I have changed the Vlexo branding in my footer for midas.vlexo.net on my local machine and when I tried to FTP the changes it wouldn't connect. I don't know whether I am entering incorrect username and password in my FTP client (not changed it).

Could this be reset, so I can comply with your branding.

      thanks
