Hey,

just wondering whether there would have been a difference in PHP configurations from quad to deuce? Its just that following the swapover, PHP SESSIONS are no longer accessible by the script at http://fyrewolf.com/, but the same sessions are viewable by scripts in subdirectories, etc.. just not the root public_html folder? Any suggestions from vlexo staff regarding configuration or from members of the forum would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Give me a way to test to see if changing settings work.

you could've registered for an account, but i guess go to the homepage, click 'login' and enter:
      username 'john.smith'
      password 'testpass'
it will redirect back to home and you should be logged in (i.e. top-bar will change) if user session is detected. check against any other page on the site...

It might just be your script. If everything but that one thing works then it seems more likely.

hmm the strange thing about that is that the script gets most of its content, including the login bar which changes depending on whether you are logged in or not, from a shared class file, which every other page uses - those class files also detect the users' login state, etc, therefore if it didnt work there why is the same class file working on other parts of the site? i have also updated the class files and the homepage to my last working copy just in case one of the others working on the site changed it (which no one has claimed to have done) and no change. but if you cant tell what the problem is I will investigate it further...
