What was the reason for the deuce server for being down for hours, now i can not see the status.vlexofree.com which is giving me 500 error

didnt seem to be down for me last night, however the status page is returning a 403 forbidden error now...

If the server didn't go down then my stupid firefox vista was causing the problem.

It was down for an hour. I have no idea why though. And the status page... got hacked... so I just deleted the script.

I've blocked outgoing SMTP except for root, exim and mailman. This forces scripts/users to use the exim/sendmail binary instead of sockets access.
