Hey everyone,

I don't know if there are many people here from the UK, but it's worth a try.

I'm fairly interested in Linux, and I'm guessing quite a lot of people on here are too; I just thought I'd share some useful links:
  • Ubuntu-UK (The Official UK Ubuntu Group) - This is a great group, they have the #ubuntu-uk channel on IRC (irc.freenode.net)
  • DFEY - DFEY, or Digital Freedom in Education and Youth, is a group of [u]young[u/] people across the UK who are interested in technology, Linux and the like.
  • bedsLUG - This is the LUG I manage, it's for people in Bedfordshire (UK) who would like to meet other Linux users, However we welcome anyone from anywhere!
  • LUG.org.uk - The UK LUG Register, if you want to find a LUG in your area, look here!
I currently use Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) as my secondary desktop, so I have some experience, but I welcome any tips, hints or pointers.

That's all from me, but I would be really interested about all of you Linux experiences/uses - especially servers!

i'm interested in Linux too. But I used to use it only for desktop application. I currently use Kubuntu 9.10 as my primary desktop, no other OS on my desktop.
