VlexoFree - Shirt Design Competition
Competition #1

I had an idea for a VlexoFree shirt so why not make it our first competition!

Task: To design a shirt for VlexoFree ( The design should say VlexoFree NOT Vlexo). The final design should be 200ppi and within the size of the Max print area (see resources). (Simple enough huh?)

Picking the winner: The winner will be picked based on the best submitted design. If there are multiple print worthy designs and I cant with full certainty decide on one there there will be a poll to determine the winner.

Time: Enough time it takes to get some good designs..

Prize: The winner will receive their designed shirt + a free domain name.

Resources (if you need or want to use them):

VlexoFree logo (black):
Attached File  blacklogoshirt.png (39.09K)
Number of downloads: 22
Attached File  vlexofreelogo2.svgz (16.1K)
Number of downloads: 13

VlexoFree logo (white):
Attached File  whitelogoshirt.png (38.26K)
Number of downloads: 17

Max print area chart:

Terms:

1. By submitting a design to this competition, you are granting "VlexoFree" and "Voxtro, Inc." a fully irrevocable, worldwide, exclusive licence to allow "VlexoFree" and "Voxtro, Inc." to use all intellectual property rights (“IPRs”) in and to your design for promotional use and for any other purpose. If you are not selected as a winner, ownership of all IPRs in and to your design will revert to you.
2. Entries must be entirely your own original work and must not breach any copyright or third party rights. "VlexoFree" and "Voxtro, Inc." will not be made partially or fully liable for any non-original work submitted by you. All entries must be suitable for publication on the VlexoFree website and public viewing. The design must not include any defamatory, offensive or unlawful content.

Any questions can be posted in this thread. And happy designing :)

Does it have to follow any format restrictions? JPG, PNG, SVGZ, ETC?

Eli, my best suggestion to get some great feed back on this competition would be to publish it on deviantart and elaborate a little bit more on the prize, such as how long the duration of the free-domain name is, 1yr 3yr, etc. and throw in a permanent free-hosting plan to glamorize it. That should throw in alot of incentive for the talented artists over there to participate because many are seeking a good personal portfolio host.

Well unless the person doesnt have a paypal account then I would actually buy the domain but I am just going to send enough money via paypal to cover the cost of a one year domain purchase; and adding a ad-free plan is a bit too much. Also I have no theme in mind (I sucks at designing).

Ah alright so a one year domain coverage, and well if you want quality what's $5 difference when you'd probably make that up in the occasional shirt sales?

If the designs are that good then me and the designer can work something out. That work?

Chibibo, that's actually really nice. But only if letters of link are more visible. They should be bright color, so people can see it clearly.
Maybe light blue, or light red. Light, anyway.

And letter O in VLEXO could have some sort of carved hole, like a star, or hummingbird, or something like that.
It would be more interesting; I guess.

Thanks! I will consider your suggestions and come up with a new design. Just wait for it. =)

Hello to everybody!

Thats my first post here, so I hope you'll like my suggestions.

They are two for now and I want to say that the colors could be easily replaced with whatever you like.

It is really strange that nobody gives anything like opinion or whatever comment in that thread.
They will be useful for any other future projects I think.

Hi!

I hope this thread isn't dead, i decided to have a go at this competition. I made 4 different color schemes: "blue" "green" "red" and "black" all positive and negative comments appreciated.

If you happen to like this design and want to use it i'm sure we can work out a agreement. Now why do i think this design will work? The design it self is very simple and easy to read, i didn't include the free tag as in the future you may want to change this to paid hosting. It doesn't have any fancy affects and i think it looks nice and professional that way.

The images is very high quality and made on the downloaded file, the file size is only 72KB. On interested i can provide a PSD file.

Nice shirts but they should say "VlexoFree" not vlexo. (Take a look at "Task" in the initial post)
