Right now im running on this build
Q6600 (not overclocked because it makes my room to hot)
4 GB Ocz reaper ram 1066 MHZ DDR2  even though im on x86 so I cant really use it
Gigabyte GA-P35-Ds3l
3 hardrives idc abt them
ATI 4870
and an Antec Trupower Trio PSU (I forgot the model)

However I have already purchased the following items and they sit in my house awating placement in my new build. Unfortunatly my new motherboard (GA-X58A-UD3R) was DOA and I'm waiting for a replacement, and I just checked the RMA and it was shipped back yesterday.
I7 930
OCZ 2000 MHZ 6gb some enviromentally friendly model
My brothers old 4850x2
Corsair H50 watercooler, cool looking device hope it works well
and that GA-X58A-UD3R motherboard

Anyhow what kind of setups do you guys have..?

I'm using a GA-EX58-UD3R here with an i7 920, a GTS 250 and 2 displays, and I must say, the i7 is a pretty damn good processor  :)  I just need a SSD now for lightspeed booting

      lol, didn't think of that

but wouldn't he of just bought a simple laptop like the Dell Inspiron 15 or something

If he did he could have used osx86

that could have saved him quite a bit of money and he gets the bonus of legit windows 7 home premium aswell if he uses boot camp

I needed a laptop for college more then a new desktop. And I love my macbook. I dont know how people can use the crappy small trackpads on other laptops anymore. And the multitouch makes everything so much better. Also, macbooks are pretty rock solid.

that is true, id buy a mac anyday if i had the money
i was thinking of a cheaper alternative
i agree the trackpads are way too small
I always use the keyboard unless mouse is req.

No overclocking here, Intel's Turbo Boost is enough for me  ;)

      There are two.

The first is an old server that I built about eight years ago:
AMD Athlon XP 2600+ 2.0 ghz
      3 gigs ram
      radeon 9550
      80 gb western digital hd
On one of those soyo dragon gaming motherboards that I won't know the part number for without opening her up

She was screaming when I first built her, but has been slowing down over the years. Now she just runs a Minecraft server.

Then, there's the love of my life: a Toshiba Portege r705-p41
      13 inches
      2.53ghz core i5
      4 gigs ram
      500 gb hard drive
has an optical drive, but is still only .7inches thick and weighs 3.2lbs.

I am surprised by how light she is every time I pick her up. :)
