Hi,

First, I do apologise if this is badly written, or if I'm not explaining myself clearly - I have barely had any sleep since wednesday, and still have loads to do.

I would like to know how to get a subdomain like blog.example.com to point to a folder, say /public_html/blog

I have managed to get blog.example.com to point to example.com/blog, however this looks a little unprofessional as you get bounced around from redirect to redirect.

I would like to keep the subdomains as they are (so it goes from blog.example.com to blog.example.com/media/file.jpg or the like)

Ta :)

      Have you seen this?

      http://codex.wordpre...s_Own_Directory

But I don't know if it removes the subdomain once it redirects  :(

That's not for a subdomain, that just relocates the files into a separate folder.
(And anyway, I'm not using a blog/wordpress, I just want to know what to do in cPanel!)

I need to have it so that, for example, I can have example.com, and also blog.example.com/shop.example.com/portal.example.com
(They're all examples by the way!)

      Thanks :)

When you create a subdomain in cPanel, you can choose the directory where it'll point to.  And when I create one, and point it to public_html/test (example), it keeps the subdomain in the URL in my browser just fine, so I'm confused now  :P

      What Lucas said.

You can change the Document Root when you create the subdomain.

      Ah, thanks :)

Makes sense now, it was probably just me being a little bit of a fool!
