 I'm doing some research please be honest.

For those of you who doesn't know, the actual retail price for a 128GB USB Flash Drive Memory is between $280 and $400. And the retail price for the 256GB USB Flash Drive Memory is around $800. I know this prices may sound absurd to some of you but I spent hours researching over the internet and that is what I got. Know I want to know peoples opinion.

Please explain your answers. Thanks.

I think I wouldn't buy one... I don't know, but for that price I might just get an external HD, like the Freecom XXS, they're small, simple and really silent...

      Yeah, I agree on that.
But if you're talking Flash drives, I'd say $100-$150 i guess.

Thanks guys I was thinking the same, I'm actually planning on selling them cheaper in wholesale so the retailers have more chances of selling them. Is just that recently I saw the price of this items and I was to amaze by it. I was like  literary. We are still researching the market and looking to our options, other products, prices, I really appreciate the help, thanks. :D

The problem with the SSD route is the write wear upon them. I think SSDs are rated at 100,000 writes or so. That's not alot

Here you can find a good Benchmark for SSD-Harddrives:

I think SSD are the future but in the moment to expensive for privat-person.
