Hey everyone!

I've been looking VlexoFree to see where things can be improved, be it content or design, and I'm making a list of things to improve. The first thing I want to get done is to revamp the default account page that you see when your account is initially created.

The current page we have looks like the following: http://demo.vlexofree.com

Something I came up quickly for a new one looks like: http://vlexofree.com...ultaccount.html

Whats missing for the one I made is content with links and information as in the current page we have. I'm not sure of to put the content in though, maybe something with ajax? Anyways if anyone has any ideas or wants to give designing or implementing the rest of the new page please give it a shot! Just save the page in the link above to your computer and code away. Then post in this thread with what you have done!

So, anyone want to give it a shot?  B)

Here's a work in progress. What i'm planning to do is add two further (larger) boxes below with information about linkbacks and help. Im still not happy about the colour of the stars though - annoyingly you can't get a gradient on those using CSS due to the way the CSS3-based starburst is formed, but ill work something else out.

Wow! I just love the new page :)

I felt it was better if you could find place for Community Forums and VlexoFree Wiki.

If possible a title tag or somthing over "Feel Free to remove this page" saying "delete index.html in your www folder" as many will forget to remove it and wonder why index.php is not showing up!

With great power comes great responsibility

      Looks great lsproc!

I think the page should have at least info on how to get to cpanel, info about placing the ads/linkback (wiki link), where to get help (forums and wiki), and somewhere having something saying they have 20 days to have content.

      That looks amazing lsproc!

I took some time and changed a few things including some little design tweaks, narrowing of the page, and editing, and some backend changes including semantic html and css optimizations.

Do you guys like the changes?

Mmm, I think the warning about 20 days should be back on its own line as it made it stand out a bit more. Otherwise you seem to have fixed the niggles I had with it :P Nice job! :)

Edit: In hindsight I would have also swapped the colours of boxes 1 and 4, as then we get a nice red, amber, green effect like on traffic lights too.

I forgot to create one. >.<

I love that one. This will provide more links and info for vlexofree new users.

      http://vlexofree.com...ltaccount2.html

Just some resolution issues, I'm using 1024 x 768 and a FireFox browser.

      See the attached file.

The box style are on a specific pixels. You can slice it to percentage. :)

      Update:

I've edited it to fit on any resolution:

      http://amagoodboyz.co.cc/vlexo1/

      I've change the head horizontally.

Hm, it works fine on my resolution.
I think to resolve this issue for all browsers/monitor sizes we will have to add a specific background width, or something.
      Yours Sincerely,

I edited the css classes. Eli used px that's why it's not fitting on my 1024x768 resolution. I changed the px to % to evenly distribute the size.

      Go to:

      Quote

And press Ctrl + "Plus Sign"/"Minus Sign"

You'll see the difference when you do it here:

Thats a good idea, my screen is massive and I forgot to consider lower resolutions. Just to note that not all the borders reach the right hand side, so you get half a border at the top and half a border at the bottom which looks a tad awkward.

What happened to the shadow on the buttons?

Did it appear alright on your resolution? I think Eli edited the buttons. I have edited only the width of the boxes and some margin.

Mmm nope, on his the buttons have no boldness but have the shadow, on yours the reverse (and it also has the older version of the text in the boxes). But it works quite well on my resolution, and I second the horizontal format.
