Hi,

I am upgrading my site to Drupal 7, which has nice feature to update modules. It allows modules to be updated directly from the site and saves me download the latest module version, uncompressing it, FTP it upto the site and update. When I use this functionality, I get the following error.

  • The specified file temporary://filez8OvjW could not be copied, because the destination directory is not properly configured. This may be caused by a problem with file or directory permissions. More information is available in the system log.
  • http://ftp.drupal.or...0-alpha3.tar.gz could not be saved to temporary://update-cache/ctools-7.x-1.0-alpha3.tar.gz.

Using File Manager in cPanel, I created a folder in the tmp folder (uploads/update-cache), which has permission of 755, but still no luck.

Any help is appreciated.

thanks
