C++ Team

21 October 2007 - 07:54 AM

Hii,

There are probably some people that can work/program in C++
If you can program in C++ and wanna join the team please PM me with [TEAM] title. Tell in that PM how many weeks/months/years you have experience with that language, what you created before and so on.

Because I just started with C++, it's difficult to create big and difficult stuff, but I hope there are some experienced members in the team. We will create stuff like little benchmarks, objects (cubes, wheel, boxes, ...) and if we have enough experience I would make a "game engine". I know what you think. I also know that's impossable to make a complete game engine. But with I mean is to create a little program where you can tests your PC (benchmark) and create triangles or more complex things that can move with the arrow keys (or others). So it would be a very simple engine in C++. :)

I know this is hard, but I want to try this. I do this because this can be the cause to study for program languages (probably with design).

I hope some people join the team.

Thanks.

Away for some days

09 April 2007 - 09:24 AM

Hii,

I don't think this is the right section but I don't found another one that was good enough. For this subject...
Please move it in the right section, Vlexo or FLCFAN (!)

Anyway, I will say it immediatly: I 'm going to France for some days. I 'm leaving tomorrow at 09:00 (GTM+1) and will be back Friday in the evening or even at night. (I don't gonna look on the Vlexo board if it 's later then 22:00)

I hope you can hold it, Vlexo and FLCFAN. But that should be no problem :D

I just tell you this because maybe people think that I left Vlexo. I also PM 'ed Vlexo with some details and I see you Friday/Saterday, guys!

Thanks for the notion

Photoshop :: patterns

27 March 2007 - 09:05 AM

This tutorial was made in Adobe Photoshop CS. It can be done in most earlier versions as well or later versions.
It have not made any images because it 's very simple to make patterns and use them.

So, I see you want to learn how to make pixel patterns. Well, you came to the right place! In this tutorial, I will show you how make seamless pixel patterns using Photoshop's Pencil Tool and a little bit of imagination!

The first step is to, obviously, open up Photoshop.

Now, the next step is to create a new document with a transparent background sized 3 px by 3 px.

Once created, we are going to wan't to zoom in all the way so that you can see what you're doing. To do this, simply hold down the Ctrl key and tap the + key repeatedly until it won't let you zoom in anymore. This should be 1600%. You can also use the Zoom Tool (Z), but you should really become acquainted with hotkeys as they save a lot of time and effort .

Because moving your hand from the keyboard to the mouse is just
sooooo hard :D

Now, select the Pencil Tool and set your foreground color to Black, and the background color to White. This can be done by simply pressing D.

Here comes the fun part! Working your way from the lower right hand corner, start drawing your pattern.

Continue to fill the canvas:
Save the patters
Edit > Define Pattern > Call it whatever you want and press "OK".

You're done now! Now when you choose to use a pattern for something, you're new pattern will show up with the rest of them!

Please give some comments and things i can change so it would be much clearly.
